Atlas XL — A Lamp Like No Other

Atlas is an original, innovative design that goes beyond the conventions of traditional lighting. Avant-garde, asymmetric and distinctive, it breaks away from the repetitive forms found in conventional floor lamps, creating its own language of light and space.

This is not a lamp designed simply to illuminate a room. Atlas draws the eye, sparks curiosity and creates the desire to live with something truly special — an object that shapes the atmosphere around it. It is light, sculpture and a striking piece of design in one.

Inspired by Nature

Atlas captivates with both its extraordinary light and its distinctive form.

A solid, stable base supports a slender, gently inclined stem, crowned with a wide, multi-layered shade crafted from thin strips of natural ash veneer.

Its silhouette evokes an exotic plant emerging from the ground — slender and gently leaning, with its crown reaching towards the light. It can also bring to mind the shape of a tree, its trunk opening into a broad, spreading canopy.

Nature itself became the inspiration for Atlas’s organic form and its luminous presence within an interior.

The Play of Light

The natural wood shade has an almost sculptural quality. Its successive layers form a three-dimensional crown through which light gently filters, revealing warm amber tones within the wood.

Across the widest strip of veneer, the story of the wood is beautifully revealed through light. The natural grain comes alive, creating unique patterns and shapes, different in every piece.

As light passes through the wood, it takes on a warm amber glow, creating an exceptionally cosy atmosphere that invites rest and relaxation.

Function and Form in Balance

The layered, open structure of the shade allows light to flow both upwards and downwards, softly illuminating the surrounding space. At the same time, the downward light is bright enough for comfortable reading.

The carefully selected warm-light bulb supplied with the lamp provides generous illumination while remaining soft and pleasant to the eyes.

“The details are not the details. They make the design.” — Charles Eames

This philosophy guides us through every stage of our work, from the first idea to the finished piece. Every element is carefully considered — there is nothing accidental and nothing unnecessary.

Natural wood, meticulous craftsmanship and a form refined down to the smallest detail come together to create a timeless functional object that looks beautiful and works beautifully.

The quality of the craftsmanship and wooden elements reflects the many hours of handwork invested in every Atlas. This allows us to achieve perfectly smooth, satin-finished surfaces on the frame, as well as flexible, carefully protected strips of natural wood.

Thanks to its carefully balanced proportions, the beech base provides excellent stability while allowing the lamp to be moved with ease. Felt pads protect the floor and make repositioning effortless.

The finishing touch is a pull-chain switch ending in a small amber-coloured bead. This subtle detail beautifully combines function with decorative form, becoming an elegant accent that completes the design like a piece of jewellery.

Natural Character

Its distinctive, visually light base and slender stem make Atlas a beautiful companion to an armchair, sofa or relaxation area. It is both a functional source of light and a striking design element that brings character to the space.

Its presence is expressive without overwhelming the interior. Natural wood, organic form and warm light allow Atlas to sit beautifully in spaces inspired by nature, tranquillity and simplicity — as a truly distinctive object and a sculpture of light.
